Roy Pope Grocery Interior / Exterior LED Lighting for New Construction

The Roy Pope Grocery Store has been a landmark in Fort Worth since 1943. In April 2020, the store announced it would be closing its doors for good. Fortunately for Fort Worth, the store was purchased by locals who cared deeply about the neighborhood’s history. Roy Pope underwent an extensive renovation make over and the historic grocery store reopened its doors Summer 2021.

WLS Lighting and Hub City Productions were part of the team who worked on bringing the remodel to life. The grocery store’s biggest renovation changes include an outdoor covered dining patio, an interior dining space, a coffee bar, and floral. The new design also includes three skylights above the fresh produce section. To accent the natural light being brought in are 90+ CRI lighting fixtures. These two factors bring true color to the product. The coffee bar and indoor dining area sits adjacent to large windows that open the space. The classic landmark still features a full grocery store with dry goods, fresh produce, fresh cold/hot meals, and butcher.
